Splint!'s debut album Moro was recorded at Hållestorp, near Ulricehamn in Sweden.

Hållestorp is a typical Swedish red wooden cottage, owned by Johannes, his wife Anna and the Schönbeck family.

The band played in the living room, but the guitar amp was in the kitchen.

The menu varied from charcoal grilled marinated chicken in Thai curry sauce to beef roast with forest mushrooms.

Moro means baby in Greek, as well as fun in Norwegian.

After having a great time, isolated from the rest of the world, the band got only too aware of the brutal reality on the way home, when the news of the Beslan school massacre was cabled out.
